A typical traditional style of housing design. Mud brick and stick walls and thatch roof. While some people may look down upon this as being for the “poor man”, it is actually the best style of house for the climate. The inside is very cool when it is scorching hot outside whereas the modern concrete/metal roof houses can be like ovens at times. This kind of house requires a bit more maintenance and is not as sturdy but functionally, I find it better.
Not sure if it would in Newfoundland though.
